Kinsley Hall opening - We did it !!

On Friday 15th May 2009 our new centre at Kinsley Hall opened. It has taken a lot of hard work but it will be such a benefit to the kids and their families. Keep reading to see how the day went and pop back as we hope to have some pictures soon.

What happened on the big day .......

The Committee, Pat, Tony, Alyson, Alison, Diane, Eddie and Matt would like to thank you all for the effort you put in to enable us to open the centre today. The Centre was opened by the mayor of North Lincolnshire, Cllr Susan Armitage, and Dave and Val from Past and present. We had many people there from organisations that have helped us in the past. Representatives from Dans Satam and The Buffs were there. also from the Chancel pub, Anthea came to support us, we had a full house of members and friends. Eddie came from Grimsby which was lovely, it was a brilliant day even with all the rain. The committee would like to thank Our wonderful Disco man Lee, Maureen for the fab buffet, and Juls for the fabulous cake. It really was a brilliant day lots of lovely food, wine was donated by Liam’s mum and Nana, many thanks. The mayor could not believe the change we have made to the old building, Melissa made some scones, juls made buns and cakes they were lovely. We are now open to all members from the hours 9 till 2 longer in the school holidays. I must state that we now need to get the rest of the place sorted out before 4t’s chic is opened by Mrs Julie Toyne. Any help you can give her she would be grateful I am sure. The Scunthorpe Telegraph were there and put an article in the paper, CLICK HERE to visit their site and see the article ( will open a new browser window ).

Letter from Pat our chairperson .........

To all our members and friends of Magic Moments. Yesterday was lovely, and we had a room full of friends, members and past and present sponsors of Magic Moments. The mayor of North Lincolnshire Cllr Susan Armitage and Val from Past and present officially opened the centre.
The signs on the windows for 4ts chic are brilliant and we have a proper sign for the first time over the entrance for Magic Moments. It was a proud moment for all of us who have worked so hard to make this new centre possible.
The Artist came who is going to do the work on the wall with the children, I think she may come in on half term and speak to them all about what it should be about.
I have also spoken to Sue Armitage about guitar lessons in the holidays, she also said she will get the kids in free to speedway.

To all of you who have worked so hard to make this possible, thank you. We now have to get down to some serious fundraising. We will be holding our first chat and chill on Thursday the 19th of May where afterwards we will hold our first meeting in the new centre. So therefore chat and chill 10 till 11 meeting 11 till 12.30. The next fundraiser is It’s a knockout. We need to discuss all the stalls all the teams. We also need to prepare for 31st May which is Messingham show.
Therefore we need all members to come to this meeting please, if possible. Bowling this half term will NOT be on Thursday it will be held on Tuesday instead. Also dandelions will be on Tuesday if possible. Sport will be on Monday and hopefully Friday. The office will be closed from Wednesday to Friday as we all need a bit of a break, after all the work we have done. Therefore I hope a lot of you will make the meeting.

See you soon
Tons of love,    Pat
